On International Women’s Day, Pioneer Museum opens its doors to the Jewish community as they celebrate the Purim holiday. Together we honor the lives of resilient Jewish women – the women of the Arizona Historical Society’s exhibit, Resilience: Women in Flagstaff’s Past and Present, and the life of Esther, Queen of Persia. Take a cultural journey as we explore the history and traditions of this Jewish holiday. In keeping with Purim tradition, costumes are encouraged! Enjoy delicious hamentaschen (cookies), kid’s craft station and a costume contest with prizes. Wine and beer available for purchase. All are welcome!
This event is co-hosted by our friends at the Flagstaff Kehilah.
