Ways to Give

Through the Certified Historical Institution Program, AHS strengthens local and tribal museums through grants, workshops, historical resources, and hands-on support. Your gift empowers museums across Arizona to preserve and share their communities’ stories. For example:

  • $500 provides technical assistance to a rural or volunteer-run museum.
  • $2,000 is another grant given to support local museums in Arizona’s regional communities.
  • $5,000 is a new marketing initiative to promote regional CHIs within statewide tourism.

Donations to collections support the preservation, growth, and accessibility of Arizona’s historic objects and artifacts. These funds help conserve fragile items, acquire new materials, and prepare collections for exhibition and research.  Your gift provides for activities such as:

  • $250 supports the purchase of basic but essential curation supplies.
  • $1,000 supports conservation of rare or at-risk objects.
  • $5,000 would support the purchase of a single, new storage cabinet.
  • $20,000 supports restoration of imperiled collections.
