Join the Arizona Historical Society on February 14, 2026 for an open house 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Arizona History Museum in Tucson to commemorate Arizona’s Statehood Day. Free admision!

Phoebe Titus (Jean Arthur) is a strong, independent woman determined to make good with her freighting company in Tucson, Arizona. When she meets Peter Muncie (William Holden), however, she starts thinking about her future. But Peter decides to run out to California, and Phoebe is left alone to fend off Native Americans and two deceiving competitors (Warren William) for her business and ranch. When Peter returns, will he be enough to save Phoebe?
