The Arizona Historical Society presents its fifth annual Juneteenth celebration at a new venue. Due to renovations at our Arizona Heritage Center, we will be hosting Juneteenth at the Embassy Suites in Tempe, honoring our Tempe roots. This year we present themes of resilience in education, migration, and family; featuring Black broadcasting history and a dance production choreographed by AHS’s own Todd Bailey and emceed by Nathan Quinn of By Design Entertainment. A panel discussion from 10a-12, and then performances from 1-4. Come and see our partner tables and have lunch from 12-1. Food will be provided but on a first come, first served basis during the lunch hour only.
