BACK New Exhibit in Tucson Focuses on the Southern AZ Alcohol Industry

Drinking locally has been a tradition in this part of the world for millennia, starting with the early indigenous cultures of this region. As you walk through this exhibit, you will learn the history of locally made alcohol in Arizona, including how plants with over 10,000 years of history are still in use today, that we have German immigrants to thank for beer, and how 1970s soil research made Arizona into a booming wine state.

This year-long exhibit also focuses on the southern Arizona alcohol industry of today and the importance of local distillers, brewers, and winemakers within the state. By buying from local distilleries, breweries, and wineries, individuals help foster industry growth, save water, and get specialty products with local ingredients that can only be found in Arizona.
