Event Details
Join Kim Nicolini, artist and creator of the “Facing Work” exhibit now on display at the Arizona History Museum. Kim is hosting a series of Mashup workshops on Saturday afternoons 1 – 3 pm at the Arizona History Museum. All museum visitors are welcome, and the workshop is included with museum admission.
Supplies provided and no artistic experience is required. Just bring yourself. We will be using photos, fishing line, safety pins, paper clips, scissors, tape, and glue for this first series. Participants will work with me to make a Mashup Masterpiece to include in the museum exhibit and/or bring home.
Kim Nicolini: “We all have hidden histories to discover inside historical photos. Remixing histories across time – the personal with the historical – we can learn about the past and our connection to it in the present . We can see ourselves as part of a historical continuum rather than in isolation.”
