Hello! Thank you for your interest in touring the Arizona History Museum, located at 949 E 2nd St., Tucson, Arizona, 85719. Before scheduling your field trip please read the following information about school tours at the Arizona History Museum.
Self-guided group tours are available Monday through Friday any time from 10 AM to 3 PM. We also offer docent guided tours Monday through Thursday any time from 10 AM to 2 PM. Please give us at least one month’s notice for a docent guided tour.
For docent guided tours, we prefer a chaperone ratio of 1 adult for 5 students. However you must bring a minimum of one adult for 10 students. ALL SELF-GUIDED SCHOOL GROUPS must bring 1 adult for every 5 students.
Guided tours last approximately 45 minutes. The Arizona History Museum can accommodate 30 students on one tour. If your party is larger than 30, your group will be split and the tour will be scheduled for two hours, with one group upstairs in our hands-on exhibit and the other half being guided through the galleries. These groups will switch after the first hour.
Admission for elementary and middle school students is $5 each; admission for high school or adult students with student ID is $8. Bus drivers and chaperones are admitted for free.
Free parking is available. Information about parking will be included with your confirmation.
Upon receipt of your tour request, you will be contacted by the educator at the Arizona History Museum. Your tour is not confirmed until the educator sends you a personalized confirmation letter.
